has sixteen years of experience
working with individuals, couples and
groups. She has completed
Hartford Family Institute’s
post-graduate training program, where
she was on staff for one year.
She has extensive training in
sandtray therapy. Patricia’s
areas of expertise include depression,
anxiety and relationship difficulties.
She integrates hypnosis,
sandtray therapy, and imagery with
traditional psychodynamic
psychotherapy. Patricia believes
that we each have inner wisdom that
can guide us and that psychotherapy is
an effective way to access this
powerful tool.
Frances Brown, MSW,LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker and a practicing psychotherapist since 1986. She works with individuals and couples helping them to develop understanding, awareness and skills to manage their issues and relationships. Francie's warmth and love of life permeates her work. She believes much healing can take place within the therapeutic relationship. Her clinical interests include women's issues, grief and loss work, and substance abuse recovery. Francie also offers Walk/Talk Therapy. This innovative therapeutic process combines the healing power of talking and walking in nature.
Jayne
Dean, LMFT, LADC, is a licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist, a licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a practicing
psychotherapist since 1987. She is an AAMFT approved supervisor and a
registered play therapist and supervisor. She is a certified Expressive
Movement Therapist and a certified Shake Your Soul®/Kripalu DansKinetics
Instructor. She provides clinical consultation and training to professionals
from private and public agencies. She has led workshops on sandtray therapy,
play therapy, and expressive movement therapy in the USA and Europe. Jayne’s
clinical interests include working with anxiety and depression, relationship
issues, family-of-origin issues, grief and loss, eating disorders and
addictions.
Aimee Golbert,
LCSW, ACSW, BCD is a co-founder of West Hartford Counseling Center and a practicing psychotherapist since 1986. She is a graduate of
Hartford Family Institute’s Body-Centered Gestalt Therapy Training
Program and served on the faculty as a supervisor/teacher. She has also
trained extensively in EMDR, Sandtray Therapy, and Permissive Hypnotherapy.
In addition to private practice, she supervises other clinicians and has
led training workshops in the USA and Europe. Currently, she specializes
in working with anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, family of
origin issues, grief and loss, trauma resolution, and women’s issues. She incorporates a deep belief in process into her work with adults.
Ruth Hofstatter,
LPC, NCC
is a licensed professional counselor, with
post-graduate training from Hartford Family Institute and Hartford
Seminary (Women's Leadership Institute). She is also trained in
mediation and collaborative divorce (visit Allies In Mediation for more info). Her practice encompasses working
with individuals, couples and families, as well as running
psycho-educational groups. Ruth's clinical interests include the
treatment of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, fertility and
adoption issues. She is also a personal and corporate coach, working
with individuals and groups, as well as leading training and retreat
workshops, particularly enjoying those focused on the creative process.
A grounding principle of her work is to foster change in the present, in
the context of one's past.
Anne Parente, LCSW has over 25 years experience in counseling and psychotherapy. She is trained in Body-Centered Gestalt Therapy, Life Coaching, Imago Relationship Skills Training (certified), EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Somatic Experiencing. Anne loves to learn and believes in approaching life, and healing, holistically. She works with individuals, couples and groups to address issues of grief, trauma, conscious communication, integrating body awareness, aging/illness, addiction/ recovery. With couples, Anne offers Imago Therapy as the primary approach. In all of this she draws from the deep well of spirituality and mindfulness, nuts and bolts wisdom and an absolute faith in each person's unique life path.
